Dear EISD parents and guardians,
We hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a new school year. It seems like the summer gets shorter and shorter, but we are excited to see everyone back.
School Supplies
The majority of school supplies for elementary and middle school will be provided yet again this year. There will some miscellaneous items that parents will be asked to provide. Information regarding supplies not purchased by the district will come from the individual campuses very soon.
Community Eligibility Provision
Eastland ISD now qualifies for a new meal benefits program, called Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), that allows all students to eat free for breakfast and lunch. Although meals are now free for all students, money can be added to the student account for the purchase of a la carte items. Information regarding the new online payment system will be sent out soon. Payments may also be made in the form of cash or check at the school during school hours.
Even though you will no longer see the Free and Reduced Lunch form as you have seen in the past, parents and guardians will be asked to complete a local Socioeconomic Information form. This document allows for EISD to continue to be eligible for the CEP, as well as providing pertinent information to state and federal education departments that are directly linked to our funding and accountability.
Back to School Events
Campuses will be sending out information regarding back-to-school events and/or Meet the Teacher. Please be watching for this information. We hope you will take advantage of these opportunities to come be a part of our school community.
Season Tickets
If you are a current Maverick Football season ticket holder, you will receive an email from Hometown Ticketing as well as a letter from the district with information on renewing your season ticket purchase.
The 2022-2023 school year will kick off Wednesday, August 17. We look forward to a wonderful start and a great year!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Williams
