October is Fire Prevention Month and the Siebert Elementary students were visited by the awesome firefighters from the Eastland Fire Department. This group of firefighters went above and beyond this year teaching the kids in our communtiy about fire safety. The firefighters shared a video and then quizzed the students to reinforce the lesson. The students then went outside to get a tour of the fire truck and to see how another volunteer gets geared up for a fire. The older students had the opportunity to see the jaws of life in action, and even got a turn at spraying the firehose. Thank you to these great men and women for taking their time and spending the day wowing our students and teaching us how to be fire safe!
