Our 5th grade reading teacher, Lindsey Chesser, put together a book tasting for our 2nd-5th grade students. A book tasting is an event where students “taste”, or sample, a selection of books. The students received a snack and drink in a fall themed room where a large collection of books were displayed. They rotated among tables to sample the books and record notes about the ones that interested them. This is a great way to introduce more library books to students and pique their interest in a new book.
