This past Friday our varsity Teams ran in Arlington at the Wildcat Invitational. The temperature was pleasant, but the humidity was 82% when the races began. The Lady Mavs and Mavericks ran in the 4A division.
The Lady Mavs placed fifth out of nine teams and were lead by medalists Lily Bird (8th) and Addy Cunningham (10th). Brooke Ainsworth finished in 21st, Emily Ojeda 27th, Annaliss Hicks 43rd, and Allison Herrera 47th.
The Mavericks finished second with medalists Andrew Hicks (1st) and Sammy Herrera (5th) leading the team. Also contributing to the teams strong showing were Chase Clark (25th), Miguel Hernandez (30th), Jayton Wesley (37th), Samuel Cruz (40th), and Brady Bramlett (47th).
Next Week the teams will run in the Belton Invitational.
