Mavericks & Lady Mav results from the Lubbock Invitational this past Saturday.
Brooke Ainsworth, Emily Ojeda, and Annaliss Hicks ran very hard for the Lady Mavs. Brooke ran her best time of the year on the toughest course on the schedule, finishing with a time of 14:33. Emily, who has been battling injuries all season, finished in 16:22. Annaliss also posted her best time of the year at 17:27. There were a total of 184 runners in the 3A HS girls division.
The boys team finished 10th overall out of 32 total schools. Andrew Hicks placed 5th overall. He was followed by Sammy Herrera who also medaled coming in 8th. Chase Clark(58), Miguel Hernandez(71), Hezahcia Patel(80), and Jayton Wesley(90) all ran their best times at the Lubbock course to help contribute to the teams top 10 finish. There were a total of 165 runners in the 3A Boys division.
