On Friday the Lady Mavs ran at Dutch Branch Park in Benbrook at the 7th annual Prowl in the Park meet hosted by South Hills HS of Ft. Worth ISD
The Lady Mavs were led by Lily Bird who finished in 3rd place. Addy Cunningham came in 18th just missing a medal. Also running for the team were Emily Ojeda, Annaliss Hicks and Carolyn Hernandez.
The JV boys were missing a few to illness but were well represented as Keegan Williamson (3rd), Brady Bramlett (5th), and Colton Alford (15th) each medaled. Mike Seabourn also had a good day running for the Mavs.
The varsity boys team had its best team score of the year winning the 4A & under boys division. Leading the Mavs were Andrew Hicks (1st), Sammy Herrera (5th) Chase Clark (13th), and Hezahcia Patel (15th). Rounding out the team effort were Miguel Hernandez (16th), Jayton Wesley (22nd), and Samuel Cruz (29th).
The HS teams will be in action this Wednesday at Dublin in their final tune up meet before district on October 10th.
